I.Introduction to ROAS Campaign Function
What is ROAS Optimization
ROAS Optimization is a strategy optimization feature that uses Mintegral's algorithmic capabilities to automatically bid based on user behavior in an oCPI (non-fixed bidding) , according to the advertiser's Day 0 ad revenue target. Currently, MTG ROAS optimization supports D0/D7 ROAS (cohort_period) and IAA monetization data optimization.
What is oCPI
oCPI refers to a non-fixed bidding model based on optimization goals and deeper user-level metrics.
In the CPI bidding model, advertisers cannot predict the revenue generated by each installation or guarantee that their spend will yield satisfactory returns. However, in the oCPI model, algorithmic strategies adjust corresponding bids based on user-level value, enabling dynamic bidding capabilities that enhance bidding power and provide greater opportunities for high-quality user acquisition while also ensuring targeted returns.
Differences between ROAS target optimization and Retention & Key Action Optimizer
●Retention and key actions are related to the quality assessment of advertisers, while ROAS is directly connected to advertiser revenue.
●ROAS Campaign uses an oCPI model, while deep Retention Optimizer is still based on the CPI model.
●ROAS optimization model and Retention Optimizer model are two different models, each with their own unique features.
II.Configuration Guidelines
Scope of Testing
Currently, only high ratio IAA products that use Adjust, AppsFlyer,Tenjin,Singular,Solar Engine and have real-time Revenue feedback are supported for ROAS Campaign configuration.
Prerequisites for Configuration:
a. The target product's IAA ad( in-app advertising) revenue, with advertisers focusing on finding IAA users who meet the Ad ROAS target.
b. The product's Revenue data must be post-back to Mintegral in real-time via MMP, ensuring the correct selection of ad revenue sources.
c. Confirm that Revenue data between MMP and Mintegral backend is accurate.
d. Current ROAS Campaign only supports configuration for new ad offers, The targeted product must have to accumulate 10 monetization postback device data in the recent 7 days on Mintegral platform.

*Note: 
a. To improve the effectiveness of your ROAS campaign, all advertising ad types will  be targeted by default and cannot be modified by advertisers, in order to explore the full range of ad space available. In other words, the actual ad types will be determined by the creatives you upload, and our system will automatically fill in any available space. If you would like to know more information for ad types, you can check through the Creative Monitor or reach out to the Mintegral team for assistance.

oCPI ROAS Model Phase:

○ Unit price: System optimized bidding, daily average CPI can be viewed in the performance report.
○ Countries: For adding new countries, please communicate with the Mintegral team and set reasonable ROAS optimization targets.
○ D0 ROAS optimization usually takes 5-7 days to gradually optimize and stabilize, and D7 ROAS optimization usually takes 15-20 days.

Performance and Adjustment of ROAS Campaign
A.If the performance of the campaign can consistently meet the target steadily, we recommended to increase the budget and optimize the creatives to achieve a higher level of performance. Please avoid continuously raising the ROAS target, as it may negatively impact the model and overall performance.
B. If the ROAS performance fluctuates around the target value: We suggest gradually increasing the budget, expanding testing regions, and optimizing the campaign.
C.If the ROAS performance cannot meet the target:
a. If continuous adjustments still do not meet the target, consider the following:
i.Is the target is reasonable?
ii.Whether other acquisition channels can still meet the target, and have there been any changes in the cost of those channels?
iii.Optimization space for the advertising monetization side
iv.Contact the Mintegral team to get more optimization suggestions.
